Hi, my name is Nancy Cabral, I am in my late fifties. I was born in Kenya, raised in the UK and I have been living in Bermuda for the last 21 year.
I would like to take you back to when I was a small child growing up in the UK, I felt very different to the other children because of my Indian ancestry. My family originates from the state of Goa, India and I was living in a very white English environment, which I found quite challenging.
I was also exceedingly small for my age. I was diagnosed with growth hormone deficiency at the age of eleven. I felt different from other children because of my height, I could not do all the things that the other children could do, and I was always treated differently because I was small. I tried hard to fit in and hid the pain behind a cheery smile and constantly trying to please others and to be liked. Deep down I was hiding the deep hurt I felt inside.
I could not show my real emotions, I could not say no when asked to do something.
I could not be my authentic self and felt voiceless and unseen. I did not like these feelings and as I grew up, I felt empathy for people like me and wanted to help others who were having a tough time like me.
As I got older, I loved experimenting with make-up, I could hide behind a perfectly made-up face, It made me feel better, the more I learnt about make-up, skincare, and beauty care, and so I pursued that as a career. I became a Cosmetologist and Aesthetician (a Beauty Therapist).
I loved my job, It made me feel good to see my clients with smiles on their faces when their faces were transformed with new make-up. As I got to know my clients, they would talk to me about their problems and issues of feeling anxious, depressed, and their failed relationships. I was not sure how to help, but I always was there to listen and realised that there were a lot of people who needed help with the way they felt about themselves.
In 1998, I was diagnosed with Insulin Dependent Type 1 diabetes, my world turned upside down. Now I had the added challenges that come with diabetes, constant testing my blood sugars, eating healthy, exercise, A1c and blood testing and everything else that comes with diabetes. I researched and did everything I could to remain healthy. I felt that I could pass on my experience to inspire people with diabetes to live a healthier life.
When the pandemic happened in early 2020, I had time on my hands as the island was in lock down. I began searching on the web for ideas for potential work in the future as everything suddenly seemed so unsure.
I started to question whether I wanted to continue what I was doing in my job and had a feeling that there was something else out there for me to help other people. I thought about all the stresses my clients talked to me about and I really felt that I could help people with anxiety, depression and other issues that affected them.
I started to look for courses that I could take to fulfil this dream. I came across Rapid Transformational Therapy® (RTT)®. Marisa Peer ran this, she is the founder of Rapid Transformational Therapy® (RTT)®, Voted the number 1 British Top Hypnotherapist, she also collaborates with celebrities and royalty. I followed her on Facebook and realized that her course would help me achieve what I wanted to do.
Rapid Transformational Therapy® (RTT)® is based on Neuroscience, combining the most beneficial principles of hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic programming) and CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), as a comprehensive solution- based therapy.
RTT® works on the subconscious mind which is the emotional part of the brain where all memories, feelings and emotions are .The Therapist takes the client back to scenes in their earlier life, this triggers memories stored in the subconscious, where we pick up our beliefs. The therapist can help the client to recognise any of the problems they are facing and helps to change the interpretation they have made and to let go of all that pain, thoughts and emotions that are holding them back and install new positive beliefs that align with their desires. From there, the therapist coaches the client to integrate new beliefs and processes what comes forward so that they can accelerate the new change. RTT® has been recognised for its unparalleled results.
As I proceeded with the course, RTT® helped me to understand that to help others, I had to help and heal myself first. By getting to the root cause of my beliefs RTT® not only helped me to be more confident, to speak out and have a voice, I was able to let go of all my negative beliefs, cope better with my diabetes and live a healthier life.
I was Certified as a Hypnotherapist and Licensed RTT® Practitioner in March 2021 and became a Clinical Hypnotherapist in March 2022. I am feeling so excited as I have had remarkable results with my clients.
I have already helped clients with diabetes, sleep problems, skin issues and building confidence.
With Rapid Transformational Therapy® (RTT)® I am helping my clients feel better about themselves so they can live a healthier lifestyle and the life they dream of.
I am fulfilling my purpose and passion in life.
